Former coach Bill Snyder to speak at Topeka library

The event was put into place because of the money that the Hirschberg family contributed. Snyder will talk about leadership, mentoring and success.

Snyder is currently working with Governor Sebelius on the Kansas leadership mentoring program. He will talk about the program during the speech as well.

The 6th annual Dr. Cotter Hirschberg lecture series will take place from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in Marvin Auditorium at the Topeka library.

Marie Pyko with the Topeka and Shawnee Public Library said that she hoped to see lots of people at the event. The group is looking for 200-300 people to attend the lecture. Generally, around 200 people show up for the lectures.

There will be a reception after the speech, and Snyder will answer questions.
